Wedding Ceremony Venue
Brickendon Estate in Longford is a family owned property that is nestled in the Northern Tasmanian Midlands. Situated around 30 minutes from Launceston this picturesque heritage setting offers an array of places for wedding ceremonies, with numerous garden and sweeping farm landscapes to select from. The selection of wedding ceremony venues is completely up to you, and Louise Archer and the Brickendon staff will work with you ensure that the space you select works and is perfect for your wedding day.
Garden weddings, intimate chapel ceremonies, and ceremonies held in convict-build timber barns are some of the idyllic options available, and all lend themselves perfectly to a romantic, rustic or vintage styled celebration. The classic English country garden setting that comprises of 180 year old trees and old world floral charm encompass the original Brickendon homestead, and around here you find stunning lawns and tree canopy nooks. These heritage gardens are the perfect backdrop for you and your guests alike, and there is no group too small or large to accommodate.
The iconic Sussex barn and the 1850’s built Gothic Chapel offer undercover options for your wedding ceremony, as do several other very secluded little buildings around the property. Considering the number of guests that these spaces can fit is important but again you will have the guidance of Brickendon staff to show you how best to plan. If you are open to suggestions they will encourage you to go further afield and beyond the usual to achieve a ceremony that is completely unique to you. A recently married couple opted for an open paddock that allowed a helicopter to land with the Bride, and from where the couple stood they could look out over the fields towards the mountains in the distance. With so many viewpoints over the landscape available there is every reason to believe that you will find something that takes your breath away.
Louise and her team are there to assist prior to and on your wedding day, including your rehearsal to ensure that the venue is as you expect it. The service goes beyond hire in the little details that can make such a big difference at your wedding ceremony – from ensuring that any hired items from the venue are placed correctly, to adjusting gown details before a bridal party walks down the aisle. If you have time to visit before booking Brickendon, do – and enjoy seeing what you find.
