Wedding Reception Venue Hobart
Located just five minutes from Hobart’s city centre is Hellenic House, a large unique wedding reception venue that, despite its central location in North Hobart, is truly a hidden gem. One on site meeting with the Hellenic House Event Manager will give you all the information you need to decide that your reception venue, large or small, will benefit from being at this outstanding wedding venue.
The versatility and spaciousness of Hellenic Hall is refreshing, as is the flexibility that comes with the genuine ‘can do’ attitude of those there expressly to make sure your special day is exactly that. Seating up to 350 guests, the privately located wedding reception venue also incorporates a large AV-equipped stage area and adjoining commercial kitchen, as well as off-street parking and easy access to the Hall. Catering and beverages are offered in-house (these packages another hidden gem in themselves) and staff, cleaning and the basics of tables, chairs and crockery and are all included.
With few constraints the wedding venue is exclusively yours for the wedding. If you need time to transform the open design with styling and decorating this is possible days ahead (at least one). Hellenic House has a tradition of providing beautiful wedding receptions whether it be with DIY design, an in-house package, or using a chosen stylist, and the Event Manager can discuss options and make suggestions based on your needs for the day. This bump-in time is perfect for allowing a couple to see their wedding reception room fully completed the day before and also ideal for being able to put the final details in place ahead of the wedding day.
The venue has two separate and spacious rooms in the complex that are available on request. These can be either used for an intimate pre-dinner drinks space, or as a ‘green room’ area to accommodate the bridal party prior to heading into the reception room. Canapés and beverages can be included to cater for either space, meaning that a couple and their guests have the option of bringing everyone together in a convenient place in that sometimes awkward ceremony and reception timeframe.
